Jordan says he would’ve never teamed up with Magic and Bird, they were way too competitive for each other to form a super-team like the Miami nWo.
fa-fa-fa-fa-fa LIIIIIIIIFE!
maaaaan… so I’m definitely printing nWo shirts with #1 Bosh, #3 Wade and #6 James on the back…. Mogs are just running with my nWo comparison!
Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio.
The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.
Just watch.
Sleep well, Cleveland.
Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….
I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:
DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue….
Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner

If LeBron joins the gayness that is Wade and Bosh in Miami I will be severely #disappointed. I won’t just be disappointed in LeBron though, the disappointment will extend to the NBA’s governing body and it’s lead puppet master David Stern. David Stern you will do whatever you can to recreate the marketing powerhouse you had in the 90’s and we understand that, but don’t compromise the competitive integrity of the sport for ratings or dollars, that’s just retarded. Stern’s already jeopardized this a couple times in the past few years by allowing the Celtics to make a friendly deal with Kevin McHale’s (at the time) Timberwolves for Kevin Garnett and also by allowing Jerry West to gift his former team Pau Gasol. Now the salary cap just magically bumps up by 2 million dollars the day before LeBron makes his decision? FUCK YOU DAVID STERN! STOP TRYING TO RUIN THE NBA SO YOU CAN HAVE RATINGS! NBA fans watch the NBA to be wowed by its Superstars but all of that is best when its within the natural and fair spirit of the game. The real kicker to me is that by James joining Bosh and Wade in Miami the NBA turns a team that could barely fill the first 20 rows of its stadium into an Arena Filler across the league and probably increases league profit margins by 10000 with 2 new HEAT jerseys, possibly 3 if Chalmers gives up his #6 to LeBron… I see you David Stern and your EVIL ways and I don’t like it… So LeBron and Mr Stern you should make it right and ensure that the NBA is on a somewhat even competitive plane for the next decade, because once Kobe retires in 5 years or so the NBA is gonna be a fun to watch crapshoot all over again, unless of course you allow this Megatron Heat fiasco.

So LeBron James, with all due respect if you sign with Miami I will definitely question your competitive spirit, fortitude and integrity for you will have shown that you have NO backbone. I can almost excuse the likes of Karl Malone and Gary Payton fishing for Championships as they got older, but these guys (Lebron and Bosh) are 25… they don’t need to form a big 3 to win.
I know I sound bitter, mad, whatever, and I am to a degree, but I just don’t understand how something like this could take place and the fact that the League would allow such a thing, or that the OTHER PLAYERS in the league could allow such a thing… Either way if Bronnie puts on a Miami jersey next year I will be cheering for a Pistons-esque KO of the UberTeam in the finals by whomever they meet.

Real teams do real things…
This is a dope concept, but they coulda used some decent AJ1 retros or OGs… aaaaaand stop with this Mike’s shadow shit… Only Kobe lives in Mike’s shadow.

Fellow Chicagoan Scoop Jackson says the Bulls should hold off on LeBron this summer and wait for Carmelo next year… Scoop I feel ya, but if the Bulls don’t make a major move this summer last season/this summer/next season is pretty much a fail. We can’t let that happen, we played to make a splash this summer, we can’t come out losing.
Props to @Sulaiman_ for the link

Lately there has been this discussion of a ‘Big 3’ alliance forming between LeBron, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh who are allegedly demanding to be signed as a team or else they aren’t going. This would essentially create a super team starring 3 of the NBA’s 10-15 best players all being under the age of 30. Not only would this create an instant title contender but a possible dynasty which could rule the league for the next 5 years or even more. The funny thing is, I really don’t know if the whole ‘Big 3’ is really necessary for the Bulls, and to be honest I kinda don’t want the Bulls to get all three, unless they can keep Derrick Rose (which I don’t really see happening in this instance).

First things first, we don’t really know how realistic these reports of this alliance are. Secondly: Would you trade Derrick Rose in order to make this Big 3 in Bulls uniforms a reality? I know I sure as hell wouldn’t. The ONLY and I mean ONLY way I find the Bulls trading Derrick Rose acceptable is if they already have signed Wade and Bosh and it’s absolutely necessary to trade Pooh in order to obtain the King. Wade and Bosh are both spectacular players but I don’t find either of them worth trading Derrick Rose for. Sure they’ll be perennial All-Stars and title contenders, but let’s not forget Rose was an all-star in his second year in the league last year, and he’s a 21 y/o point guard who is only going to get better. Take this into consideration… would you ever think that Chris Bosh could win an MVP over the next 10 years? I don’t. Actually I’m pretty much 99.99999% positive that Chris Bosh will never be the leagues MVP, but the reality of the situation is that Rose impacts this team enough already that he could be an MVP candidate in the next few years. Derrick Rose, in my opinion is already in the upper echelon of point guards in this league and how often do you come across a point guard who is as effective? Deron Williams maybe… Chris Paul can be, barring injury and bullshit like this…
back to the point though… Rondo might be able to be thrown in this discussion as well. Steve Nash belongs too, but seeing that he’s as old as he is, he’s probably gonna hang it up soon. Derrick Rose is a rare talent, a player like his is hard to find so when you got him… KEEP HIM. Unless of course he’s your only way to obtain LeBron, then you gotta take things into account.

This isn’t meant to slight Bosh or Wade but I really can’t see the Bulls justifying the trading of Derrick Rose for either of them. In my opinion I’d rather have LeBron, Bosh and Rose than anything, I’d take Boozer instead of Bosh too… Hell I’d take Dirk if I didn’t think he was staying in Dallas. Sorry Dwyane but out of all these MAJOR Free Agents you are the least desirable to me and you’re the one with the Ring. I just feel like Mr Rose is too expendable and that you are a little too needy for my liking, especially with two other bonafide stars on your team. Sure you split the bill with Shaq in Miami, but we all know that it was your team and Shaq was just along for the ride.

The Bottom line is to me I honestly think that a Bulls line-up featuring Derrick Rose, Deng, LeBron, Bosh/Dirk/Boozer, and Noah looks better than Wade, LeBron, Bosh, and whomever else they can muster into the starting line-up, I’m assuming Noah and James Johnson or Deng if he doesn’t have to go in part of a trade… Shiiit I’ll even take Derrick, Wade, LBJ, Taj and Noah if that could happen, but I just feel that at this point Bosh is pretty much a sure thing and if it’s between Bronnie and Flash I’m taking the King…
What do you guys think?
Is Derrick Rose too valuable to trade for either Wade or Bosh in order to make a big three happen or are you ready to part ways with our franchise player to be a new age (and younger) Celtics squad from a year back?
